Island of Fantasy
In front goes the emerald ocean
On the shores the oysters seek pearls
Come inside me in silence or commotion
Let the curls unfurl in myriad colors
As the glow-worm signals its companion
Under the green and brown coconut tree
In that flash with the ocean abandon
Pour me a cup of Darjeeling tea
An earthen cup made by the island girls
A saucer same neither big nor small
In the oyster sits the becoming pearl
The spoon resting against the cup’s wall
Under the scattered light of moon and star
We shall be what we actually are
In front comes the emerald ocean
Quiet smiles the fulfilled motion
