END DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
Angst of grievous hunger prevails
Seeking benefactors to grant their need
Hoping truth of compassion creed
To work well, shutting woe-filled wails.
Wrestling amidst rigorous plight
Street kids yearn for hunger to end
With heaven to open and send
Nutritious food of health delight.
Yes, there they are begging midst hope
From domestic violence-pain
Leaving home where sorrow does reign
Finding shelter where they can cope.
Breaking silence to find blest grace
Victims echo their prayer-shout
For satisfaction without doubt
Pleading for peace in God’s embrace.
Let’s respond with our helping hands
Showing love of compassion-zest
To children burdened by hate-pest
Carrying load of house-demands.
Around commitment’s caring vow
We fulfill our parenthood part
For families* of kindness-heart
To thrive well with joy, starting now!
*Genesis 18:19 For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring ... that which he hath spoken of him.
