-cycle-

One Word #7 Word: Cycle Cycle, Noun, A series of events that are regularly repeated in the same order If life is so unbearable, I wonder how you’ve made it this far, When the things you use to cope are just the same. Was it because of me, or was it just the fear of dying, That pushed you forward in this twisted game? If it takes alcohol and a quick fix to push you forward, What kind of life are you planning on living? Living in a constant, hazy trance with your head spinning, Is that was keeps your heart beating and lungs breathing? Every time I see those bottles piled up on the sink, Oh, how much I would love to shatter all the glass. It’s a shame that I’m jealous of something that can’t speak, Because you’ll say yes to them, but to me, you’ll simply pass. Every time I smell the smoke on your breath, As you keep me clinging onto more false hopes and dreams, Oh, how I want to fall to my knees and cry. You need that high more than me, it seems. I wonder how much longer you’ll be pushed forward by life, When clearly your legs don’t work enough to carry you. For the remainder of that time, I wonder, If you’ll cherise me then more than you do. Surely if you knew how I felt, you’d just laugh, And deny it more and more, for that’s how it’s always been. I’m sure we’ll all laugh again as the cycle repeats itself, Because that’s how it’s always been since then.
