-Daily Poetry #15, February 12, 2017- Word: Celebrity Being born into the world's expectations, Always living under constant dictation. “One day, I'll make all of you proud!” But you were just told “Get your head out of the clouds.” Growing up and being pushed around, “Beauty is pain,” so this voice will never make a sound. Refusing to keep a single scrap down, Just so you can keep your crown. The thick make-up covers up the true story, But it wasn't for anybody to see. Bruises and scars line your body, but scars are pretty, I can't tell anyone, for actresses are just petty. “Smile for the camera!” The cycle continues to repeat, And you're tired of all the qualifications you must meet. You're depressed and you've had enough, but you're too young for that, Though behind the curtains, you've already run flat. “I want to be just like them!” You had said one day, But now that you've done it, you don't know what to say. Nothing in the world is like it should be, Now you're wondering “Does it really need me?” Thinking that cameras and people and money make you famous, it's a joke, Drowning in worries and lies, they continue while you choke. There are more ways to make a future, more things you could've done, Sadly, this is where you ended, you chose the wrong one.
