Autumn On Its Wings
Leaves fall off the trees,
Some long for days as these
Cold wind blows at night,
Hope hides from the light.
Sombre notes sing their keys,
Leaves fall off the trees,
There’s a transition in season,
Earth’s revolution gives the reason.
Nature goes her different ways,
The woods are in their gloomy days,
Leaves fall off the trees,
Down they go at ease.
A season of reflection,
Life is a salient depiction,
Changes are an annual reprise,
Leaves fall off the trees.
