A Close Encounter
Last year’s leaf scrawls across the cool grey cement floorlike a brown alien spider on spindly triangular legsthat seemingly hovered screeching an eerie songas it swirled its crinkled claw-like body to the cornerand like a cornered animal it leaps into the airas in self-defense then with a zigzag stroll and eerie songscrawls across the cool grey cement floor to the doorwhere it zips into the sky disappearing forever
