My Place In the Sun

I only tell of sunny hours... That grace my countenance supine. For dark clouds mask my daily task, Until i welcome back sunshine. While passages of time elapse, As seasons etched upon my face, From springs first kiss, to winters snow My gnomons shadow marks their place. Each night i gaze so heavenly, Towards the starlights grand parade. Where jewelled diadems appear, As diamonds set in jet arrayed. When sunrise casts it's warm embrace Upon my face, i will display The time and seasons of the year, For people passing by my way. 2 / 7 / 2019.
