I Ask Myself

What have I done for someone today? Am I willing to go out of my way? What makes me think I am so hot? There is nothing, no there is notnot! Did I thank God, just to be alive? Or am I just full of selfish jive? Have I called my friend? Or is my elbow too lazy to bend? What did I do today to make this country better? Or just complain and write nasty letters? When will I get, that I am not all that? Just a poetess, penning in a pretty hat! Did I write a nice note to a poet friend? Those that stand by me till the very end? 10/18/2021

These are things we need to remember to do. It is too easy to put off today with the promise to do it tomorrow. Days go by and then weeks go by and nothing gets done. This was so well done.

Something we should all do my friend. Spend a little time each day in self reflection just to see if there is something in our character that we could or should change. We should all try to bring a smile to someone who needs one, lend a hand if needed, be of some help somewhere and in so doing we can maybe make the world a better place for someone. Good stuff here. Yes, Pangie you DID write a friend today. And I know you almost always do it. This reminds me of a song we sang when I used to go to church Bible classes in my youth: Have you done any good in the world today? etc etc. I forgot all the words. but I remember one part: "The world has no use for a drone. So wake up and do something more than dream of your mansions on high. Doing good is a pleasure, a joy beyond measure so go and do something today." Hope I did not slaughter those words!!

Seeing how true friends are always, sort of, in tune, they sense things before the writing and saying. But to outwardly say and do, it is good for the spirit. And whatever we speak, write to share, is published to the air. God knows and connects for us, when recognized, thus allowed.
