Fathers

Fathers Fathers have to learn, so they practice on their first child. From the first bottle to the first diaper change to all the sleepless nights. The first 'daddy' said by their precious child will be forever etched in their mind and heart. All the big events in the child's life is like a story that is stored in your soul. Down the road of life there will be many days of pleasure given to child and Father to share, so keep the book open in your mind to write it all down. As one day the child turns into a friend and a person , grown with a life all their own. Anne Rutherford Copyright 2008 Treasured Baby Series

Hi Ann....found you had dropped by my poem again and wanted to thank you. I too dropped by my own poem to read again as we have now layed my Dad to rest also. He left this world on 7/17..no longer in pain or suffering, but missed by us lowly earth dwellers left behind. We find solace knowing he is now in a much better place. Big hugssss !!!!

If the child could know their fathers heart. To cry for love, they'd never start. For every act's on their child's behalf. That they may grow up happy and laugh.

What a lovely poem...and so true. I'm glad you found some comfort in my poem...Faith of the other side of living substains me. Knowing all those waiting to embrace me...God Bless !! Dad is still with us as of 6/14...hardly eats or drinks anything now..we are in a transitional stage...comfort measures only. Will be missing my father-in-law this fathers day for sure...he was a very faithful man !!
