A Visit From Mom

Last night I dreamed of my Mother, a pivotal part of my past. She told me about the future, and how the darkness would never last. She touched base on the virus, and said we would see its end. She told me that she loved me, and how she missed all of her friends. She reminded me to be patient, care for others and show them love. She was also happy to be home, spending time with our Lord above. She had to cut our visit short, but did not give me a reason why. She simply told me to keep the faith, then kissed me and said goodbye.

A poignant write, but with the hope that only God can give. Nicely done.

After 20 years and 1300 miles apart, in 2013 dad died and I packed up everything (10 animals too) to live and take care of my ailing mom. In April of 2019 I resigned my job and stayed home full time with her. Was the best times of my life with her and this house is lonely without her. I lost her in April this past year. Great poem.Thankyou for the memories it brought me.

I'm sorry about your parents, I was the caregiver for my Mom and Dad as well. They were very hard times.

I miss everything about her, it's been 25 years and I can still smell her fresh baked bread.
