Shades of Mortality
Death left the door to opened to its soul one day,
Where dreams escaped and wanted to play.
They danced about, where the bluebonnets grow,
Along a colored path to and fro.
Mortality treasures of life’s great gifts,
Beautiful memories for those who need to wish.
A vulnerable side that no one sees,
Of deaths true colors and all it breathes.
Down the path of travel, death makes its way,
With visions that follow to brighten the gray.
Death became enchanted when her dreams came out,
For all to see what living is about.
