99 Cents

99 Cents... That's all that I own I go to bed hungry I go to bed alone. I don't have the Internet I don't have a phone. I can't find a job I soon won't even have a home. 99 Cents... For all that it's worth I value every penny of it It's all that I've got in my purse. I can't even spend it 99 cents won't buy a thing Everything's more than a dollar Even the cheapest of things. 99 Cents... That's all I've got to show For many years of always working hard For many years of always being on the go. I hope God pays back all the Politicians and Bankers That have put our economy in this mess I hope God continues to take care of those of us He considers his poor and therefore Blessed. 99 Cents... In my purse it's all that I can see I cherish it And I value it Tomorrow who knows where I will be. I don't have a clue for as to where I'll be Tomorrow's are just another of hopeless days Hopefully God will take care of me I'll just have to PRAY and wait and see.
