9-11 Didn't Change Me

‘9/11’ did not change me for I’m a veteran Israeli From the horrors of Munich ‘72 to the ceaseless terror of the intifadas From the nightly Hezbollah missiles to munitions that shriek and whistle From the river to the sea ~ 9/11’s everyday reality

Such a sad reality for the Jewish nation to have terror everyday, I am surmising Gershon but after a while it becomes common normality. I can not imagine how the Jewish people feel with this constant chaos at their doorstep. You wonder when these atrocities will end. God protect Israel and its blessed people and end the enemies of Israel they need to be taken care of by the military.

Hello Gershon, What great words that show that terror is always among us and always will be. I am an Army Veteran and will always defend Israels right to exist and I pray for peace. My very best friend is Jewish, and his family and wife's family are from Israel and whenever I talk to him, I want to know how he is doing and what I can do to help because here in America they are targeted just because they are Jews. Your amazing words says it all! - Blessings, My Friend, Daniel

Seems to me that other poets are unaware of those antedeluvian Arabs who lillegally are here via Canada and Mexico God knows where in this country., thanks to the Biden Harris administration and open borders. I know people forget, that on 9/ 11, many races and religions were erased from this Earth. And it’s an ongoing process in Israel and the Middle East so in a sense 9/11 never ended…Moreover the past became the present.Great write. Pangie

Not to me, the planes should have destroyed the United Nations building and all their viilans that work(?there..Seems to me, the UN luvs Hamas and is determined to see Israel gone. Gazans play Victims and the world believes them?. Please remember those that were burned alive and their families. Alll first responders and their familes. America is not Israel. New Yorkers, some, needed psychiatric help after this. This was NOT a speck in American history. Many want to forget it? That’s the same as saying the Nova massacre was meaningless. Those were people at work on 9/11.Not Israel vs Antisemitic Killers. Death is an end of life and to be respected, Sinwar? Another story in a dress!

Do you think that maybe we've already gone to hell? I have a theory that the reason aliens haven't befriended us is because we are too brutal. I hope there will be peace.

I'd say Gaza is a candidate for 'Hell on Earth.' But so was London in 1943 after two years of merciless bombing at the hands of the Luftwaffe. It got rebuilt, and so will Gaza too some day...

Happy to oblige.. Translation: I empathize and sympathize with Israel for the terror inflicted upon it these many years and for the many lives tragically lost. Your poem sheds light on the Israeli perspective..
