2020 What Do I See

January 1, 2020, what do I see. I see a great year ahead for me. It started off fast like a bee, little did I know I would want to flee. 2020 brought me down on my knee, with just one plea. Please be over I decree. Let me out so I can go see the sea. My birthday party was canceled no glee, I sat home eating crackers and brie. I have had enough of all the green soup pea, I could use some fresh made sweet tea. 2020 will pass like a breeze in a tree, but I will never again be carefree. Date Written: 5/22/2020

Wonderful write! It really conveys the idea of being held captive in a pandemic year. Fortunately, there is some movement towards freer days. Be well. Best wishes always, Brian

Paula! Great poem. Uncanny it was on New Years Eve...,I was thinking all these folks welcoming in the New Year. I asked myself, WHY? Kind of nutty to think it will be better! And I guess I sensed this coming,... Read the Diary of Ann Frank. We do our best, all we have is today. Our choice is to allow the world to dictate how things are...or we all can overcome despair. 19 is not going away! Me? I won't allow a virus run my life. Any number of things can kill us. Thank You, for reading and writing. Yes, many things can kill us. The virus is just one of them. I think of all of the people who have died not from the virus. Enjoy your day.........

Life after Covid - 19 will be a whole lot different and I think it has humbled us to see the amount of poor people suffering daily. Blessing my friend we will cope, we have to until we are called. Wonderful poem, Blessings, Jennifer.
