2020 Reminded Me That

I love songs that make you feel like you can fly, And books that make you cry. I love rain during the spring season, And winter walks for absolutely no reason. I love how the leaves change colour in autumn, And how books feel when you’ve just bought them. I love long night time drives, And how the sound of the engine is drowned out by the wildness of my joyous cries. I love the act of a simple kiss, And how it leaves you in a catatonic state of incandescent bliss. I love the warmth of an embrace, And the most joyous smile on my mother’s face. I love the seemingly simple things of life that are quickly overlooked, And endeavour to be more observant about things as such.
