Life in France - Same shit different shaped bread The storms blew down a couple of our trees a plum and this walnut broke a gate post shifted roof tiles and damaged our grape vine. Not happy Still nobody died the walnut tree was in the field with the lambs. #countryfrench #countryliving #farmhouselife #farmhouseliving #frenchcharm #frenchcountryliving #frenchcountrycottage #frenchliving

The old walnut tree in the meadow weep Time had arrived her strains in sorrow steep Echoes of a nameless and powerful storm break in I feel shivers on my bare skin I would like to touch and hug it, before it dies The roots of the tree pointing up towards the skies In the backyard of mourning, distant in all its splendor Never a new spring, feel its shaking so tender 05/09/2019 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved Writing Challenge 1, September 2019 - Eight Line Form - Poetry Contest - Sponsored by: Dear Heart - Wiishkobi Ode 4th place in the contest

Hello Sunshine … a sad time when an old tree that has looked over many generations finally succumbs. Thank you Sunshine - Lindsay

so sad when a tree like this falls...we had one last year that was over 200 years old that finally fell near my work, it was the talk of the town...beautifully penned even in its sadness
