Notes About The Poem

Grepolis - Nachtflits

- the Blood Under the Nails of the Martyrs -

Sunset, before dark ... you broke your promise
Forging a Japanese sushi knife ready for attack
Days which is controlled by negative conventional thinking
It does not work to knock on every door when you fall
Fear and suffering, human threat is not necessarily death

When the wind blows, hungry wolves respond
But the wolf shall not be killed with a lie or broken promises

In the dark a shadow of a face of misery
It makes me doubt what you're thinking
When bitterness becomes your best friend
The black sun is an overwhelming image
Like the ocean in the storm with foam of transparent suffering
No one has the right to kill "in the name of religion"

A beautiful, heartfelt and expressive poem, Anne-Lise. Senseless killing is murder, and as such must be condemned. Using religion as an excuse makes it even worse! Hugs // paul

Absolutely riveting and of course I agree that no one has a right to kill! One thing I will say though is that particularly with the New Testament, the fact that I am reading words that the writers died for proves to me they were sincere . They were actually willing to suffer for Jesus and shed blood for their testimony! I am sure they will be honoured in heaven

Powerful words Sunshine, I wonder what God they worship, it can't be the same as ours who is forgiving and preaches love to all. Tom.
