Whether you are a king or a beggar we know that everyone will die Even when it looks dark ... very dark and the flames have gone out Your visions are blurred Life is an uncertain project To deceive death ... just a little Legends say ... cats have nine lives Is it possible for us modern people to become friends, with death? You never know   "Time to live - time to die" ... and the nightingale sang so beautifully - both the king and the beggar got tears in their eyes 03.08.2019 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Beautifully written Sunshine! We are all equal in God's eyes. And to whom much is given, much is expected, myself included in this group. Many prepare for retirement but so few in doing so prepare for our ultimate retirement. God bless!

There is an old Greek fairy tale - A King was rich and sat down to feasts of food daily and the beggar sitting outside the castle was eating a stale loaf of bread and onion - the king said to him one day - may we swop places for just one day as we will inevitably meet in years to come, for there is one truth in life, that we will all die! Great write, Best for a win. Hugs, Jennifer.

- The day we die it doesn't matter if we have lived a rich or poor life ... in death we are all equal - But the rich people should share with the poor while they lived on earth ... - Many thanks for visit and comment, dear Jenny :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

there is a time to live and time to die and i think our journeys are pre-marked, one can attempt to stall the end result but it's inevitable, the end eventually comes, i have watched it bend life of way too many! no matter how many times you see death touch, the hardest is when it touches deep like a parents, sibling, child...you being a nurse i am sure see it daily, yet the close death grabbed you more !

- As a nurse for many years, Sandra ... I've seen it too many times ... this time I write about my father ... in recent years his life has been like a roller coaster ... in and out of death - Many thanks for visit and comment :) - hugs // Anne-Lise :)

Quite a beautiful pen on death and dying. I am quite sure though, that I had a cat that lived 18 lives. When he died, the eyes were a different color, he had no teeth and part of an ear was missing.

Yes, whatever your status death will one day come. We may not want to answer the door when it knocks but it will come in anyway. I suppose accepting it helps you to deal with it. Tom
