Ghost In Love

The wolves howling at the height of his past life As a strangled breath from the grave The air feels heavy and smells rotten soil He never forgot his great love The woman who was his passion Links and bells chime in the wind The taste of vintage wine His blood rushes through a gloriously red rose The last restraint is gone If death is a caress, what is life ? His bride will be transported on a white horse - 07.08.2016 Sun :) - A-L Andresen :) Copyright © All Rights Reserved

Most Excellent Dear Anne-Lise (also known as "Sister Grimm")!! Congratulations on POTW!! I missed this one, but I'm glad I got to it now!! I can fully see and realize now that the curse of the "Brothers Grimm" (Liam and me) has fully affected you now, which is good. You do very well with the Macabre!! The message and the imagery of this free verse is perfect. And, I really like your choice of attached pictures with the skeleton and holding the "red rose." SEVEN/FAV!! Best!! Sister Grimm!! GB

Hi Anne-Lise, this is definitely different from your pen. A little darker than usual and excellent writing. I love the content in this one. This is really good my friend. It definitely holds the attention from beginning to end. This shows your all round talent in poetic prowess. This is a definite seven and a fave Anne-Lise. Have a good day. Hugs....Mike. XX
