- Bright Midnight -


                                                                     Cicadas hum a bright midnight
                                                                      An unhealthy martyr mindset
                                                                  As woven with the darkest threads
                                                                         vulnerability and strength
                                                                      The spirit has been rekindled
                                                                 Place the weight on the weighing pan
                                                                       find balance in the imbalance
                                                                       Sunrise - it's completely silent

The night is a different complex than that of the the day -- sometimes seeming a world of detached. My cat cannot understand why I sleep at night. I keep him from rest with my drums during the day, just to get even. You many have a winner here, Anne. Perfect!

Your imagery is like beautifully woven, graceful threads dancing, a joy to read, Anne-Lise. When a child, midnight blue was my favorite color crayon, and I see some of that blue in the pic. OH, I finally figured out how to post pics & I'd love u to see my 13 yr old baby, my 1st page, "Sweet Baby Raja." She'll love this, who could not. Poetry hugs ... CayCay
