11th place in the contest

When the seconds don't flow with energy. Don't wish to fight for the space, to be seen. Essence doesn't fetch you double jeopardy. Thoughts break through their own fences on the screen. When I connect through pages of aged time. My limbs that have run wild, now siesta. The years lullabies and nursery rhyme, being snapped away by an orchestra. Tomorrow's melody, melting away. Connect often with family and friend. I admit my hair has turned silver gray. Life's last journey - we will meet at the end. 10 syllables per line

Anne-Lise, Cute this is! Reminds me that being able to daydream is really a luxury I love to experience without regret. There's really no rush to do anything other than connecting with people. Love the phrase about thoughts breaking through their own fences.... You have a wonderful and pleasant way to put things! Smiles!

When we grow old, some changes occur naturally. But they can't be helped. We have to accept what we can't change. What we can do is connect more with family and friends. Enjoyed this poem of great flow and rhythm. Love and hugs, dear Anne.

I found your poem at first to be poignant Anne-Lise, but by the time I had read it fully I felt it to be uplifting and warm too. (Self) acceptance and awareness is certainly key to enjoying later years. There’s great advice here wrapped up in a beautifully written piece. Cheers - Gary

Beautiful rhythm to your deeply moving poem dear anne lise, low the depth and flow of what youv expressed here about time and aging, and how with time sometimes we stop more to reflect and appreciate simple and little things that weigh more for us: pleasure reading this gem: sending you light today and always

Age has a way of slowing us down. To have the energy restored would be nice. Love the way you've made the scene flow.

Beautifully penned. Gray hair is beautiful, my aunt's hair turned gray when she was in her 30s and looked good with it. She's now 88 with that silvery hair and still looks good. And if you resist, you'll just get a headache, stomach ache, body ache! Hugs, Marilene

Such a lovely photo choice. She's come to terms with aging and is content. I think peace comes especially when one is right with the Creator. Knowing there's more
