- a Candied Pout -
Upon her face hangs a pout,
Which under her philtrum she wears so pink.
Not that she wills to show sulkiness,
But to send a flirtatious invitation,
And inveigle mine to repose on her rosy bight.
A fool he who ignores a pout and a wink.
Never could I resist the beams of her comeliness;
To kiss me and erase the pout is her intention.
