Sea Glass From Mother Nature’s Jewel Box

She gives us…

Hummingbirds with wings aflutter, a symphony for cherry blossoms
Sunset, moonrise primordial orbs, magic looms
Shooting comets that grace every sky
Twinkling stars that wink on ebon nights
then wane and vanish in sunlight

She reciprocates …

Over the sands of time She forms and fashions troves of jewels
Refuse, shards of glass litter discarded and strewn
Sanded and polished by briny waves magically glazed frosty verglas
Trading trash and abuse with gifts
Sea glass gems washed ashore
Stones resembling emeralds, amethyst, ruby’s,
turquoise crystals displayed on the soft carpeted shores
Wishes to have seen this newfangled beauty
She once gifted us exquisitely
A rare sight as less litter evinces Her gifts scarce
I wonder was She by us coerced?
Ample reasons for us to quit littering
if not, there are more

Anaya, you point out just how amazing are the forces of nature. It's a marvelous view that puts a smile on my face. Wise you are!

Lovely written. This is one natural beauty and I was perplexed when I saw a picture of it on the internet. I hope I find time to curate it before DL. "Shooting comets that grace every sky Twinkling stars that wink on ebon nights then wane and vanish in sunlight." Amazing.

I've never heard of sea glass, had to research on it, the sponsor requests metaphoric use of sea glass and I know you'll be great at! I just did me what metaphor I could. Thank you, Tonye:)

I like how you mixed in a subtle eco friendly message in with your poem about the beauty of sea glass. When this world is kaput and the thousand years of healing and restoration begin, we'll see nature gradually reverse the abuse we've dealt it. Time to look forward to

Nice poem. A trash turning into treasure, metaphorically.

Thank you, Jay! It may not be metaphorically enough to make the list. Thing is, I learned so much about Sea glass! xhugs
