Passing Underneath a Railway Bridge

She seemed oblivious to the smattering of lightly falling rain; He holding her hand...and as much as his very life should Depend upon this. Overhead, a commuter train hastening down the clattering track; And right there, underneath the bridge, suddenly pulling him back, She halted and gave him a look that spoke so plain. It was in that moment, head tilted, leaning over...she then planted That fatal kiss. Methinks he would forever more chance the perils of Dantes' Flame... Even being that it might just be the most desperate of chances For all things to remain the same.

Hi John, you have caught a moment in time when she planted a kiss on his face. It is a crucial moment. The reference to Dante has invested your poem with a classical dimension. You are indeed such a great poet, I am so happy to know.

Cheers, Bill. A little bit of nonsense...but I saw it happen just as I penned it. All rather touching really. :) john

Aah, big John is still at it I see. Always thought you were the best poet on PS, though you seem happy to remain under the radar. Yes, things will never be quite the same for this bloke. Happily
