My Prayer

Oh lord, I feel in despair
and I feel like my world is
falling apart around me.
I shall rejoice even when
feelings of despair consume
me.
Because I know you have
overcome the world.
Although heaviness is
present I shall cast my
cares upon you, and look
to the hills for which
cometh my help.
I shall rejoice in the valley
as well as the mountaintop!
Oh Lord, I trust in you
and know this feeling well
pass.
Although sadness is present
living waters flow within
my soul and the joy of the
Lord is my strength.
I recognize each emotion
but it will not consume
me.
My walk with you is based
on truth and faith.
Living waters flow through
my soul and I'm being made
whole day by day.
I obtain new mercies each
day.
I am your vessel oh Lord,
let thy will be done in
my life.

A poem of total surrender to the Lord, as you know that He is the source of the Living Water. Once you drink from that fountain, you shall not thirst. Life can be joyous and painful. But God gives the hope to wade through life and will lead you to safe shores. Beautifully written dear Alexis.

You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 1 John 4:4 NIV Beautiful prayer my friend,
