He Doesn't Love Me Anymore

He lost all his love for me. These words caught like dull razors. Pain sifts through my raw feelings. I feel so fragile, sad aches conflict me on foreign ground. Heavy, my eyes are mere slits. God, I pray, with mercy come and gift my wrecked heart with numb.

Dear CayCay, Your words land gently yet powerfully like fragments of glass catching light in the quietest moments of pain. I feel that sift in every line. Words can cut and some words cut deep. They leave bruises which even time cannot heal. That's why we are warned that we should be very cautious when we use our tongue. With heavy weeping, eyes have become mere slits! Powerfully moving poem that matches well with the image, dear Cay Cay

Dear CayCay, a very moving poem. It's almost surprising how words can hurt more than daggers sometimes, they leave wounds behind and the wounds never heal. But at the end, it's just words. Words, wow, are indeed very powerful. Best, Anne
