A Dated Date

Dating’s so dated
He lately related
From a date he dated
Who arrived belated
Named Candy Dayt
A mate candidate?
Who on their first date
Ate eighty eight dates
Straight out of a crate
That doubled her weight
And looking inflated
Which can’t be debated
He wasn’t elated
Which he quickly stated
And later orated
That eighty eight dates
Ate straight from a crate
Is much too dated
And dates on dates
Should be vacated

Very creative poetry, David. It was a bit dated and a bit overstated, but my need was satiated, so I stated it will not be debated and POTD will have to be vacated. Good luck ol' boy! Cheers, Bill

Very good 'telling it like it is' poem. I'll remember my manners next time.
