YOU HAVE FORGOTTEN

The house on the corner with the white swing
Candles, wine and dreams
The darkness that loneliness brings
To forgotten mountains
You no longer recall any of it
We once wrote letters to strangers
Pretending they were our friends
But now we leave the candle unlit
Because somehow it no longer matters
I'll be leaving soon
Too quickly to fit in a goodbye
You'll be angry for a while
But your anger will be like
The candle
And I'll be only a stranger
That you once knew

Wow!!! I am reminded of Edgar Allen Poe as I read this. It has a dark, gothic theme to it which could fit a lot of stories! I love how versatile and mysterious this is. Keep writing :3!
