The Subtitle : I am woman: Request

I am woman: Request?

I am woman.

What does this mean?
Am I the lesser for it?
Should I stand up
for my Self?
How will I live?
Or die?
Or grow old?
Will I lose my teeth?
Or my muscle mass?
Will I lose my mind?

Perhaps I should lose my anger...
I'm angry at women-
For letting me dumb down.
For impeding my growth.

As a woman.

Dear one... keep on processing... believing in yourself and your innate worth. Such a deep poem. Never dumb down... never shrink to fit someone's definition of what a woman should be. Thank you for your kind comment on my latest poem. I appreciate the time it took to read and post a comment. Bless your heart.

Thought provoking poem and one that I could not easily decipher because of my own personal trauma. This is a great poem and I will read it again. In my case I was sexually abused and I blame my father for his actions though I forgave him. Thank you for writing and sharing this!

Hi, Karen, I love your open hearted, honest comment... Yes, we have the empathic capacity to understand why our parents behaved the way they did-often victims of handed down, generational abuse, in all it's forms. There is overt abuse. There is covert abuse. By men and women. I have to ask myself, why I made a choice to try to be different. It's been a lifelong struggle to be comfortable in my " female skin", both parents created confusion, and rebellion. My deep search for True identity. (((Warm Hugs))

Didn't you find your true identity at your baptism? I know I sure did. Forty one years and never looked back. Wishing you peace and wellness

It was near the end of his earthly life, that he said with confidence, not arrogance: "I have fought the fine fight, I have run the race to the finish... 2Timothy 4: 7 - 8. ( verse5 he explains what was entailed in that.) I am still finding out how past experiences have held me back, especially concerning headship principles." The light is getting brighter and brighter, even as I am getting older. (Proverbs 4:18; 2 Corinthians 4: 6) We need to allow ourselves to be refined, by His Word. This is my personal expression of that journey. Sticking to the" narrow road" one step at a time.

2) Before making that decision, my "spiritual identity" was "all over the place" - looking for "answers" especially about human suffering, war, cruelty in humans... I felt a light turn on. These poems define my "life's journey", both before, and after baptism. As the apostle Paul admitted, after becoming a footstep follower of Christ, that he still had to contend with his human imperfections 1Corinthians 12:7 - 10; 1Corinthians 9: 24 - 27.,

Hi Tom, that's a very good question, I'm happy you asked.... I dedicated myself to Jehovah, deciding to be Baptised when I was 18 years old... I really believed, based on Bible study, that this was the right decision. It was not because I was born into a specific religion, but it was based on understanding what I was dedicating myself to. To a relationship with Jehovah God. To doing his will.
