Notes About The Poem

15.00 pm  June 28, 2025

Poem written based on a true experience going in a horror house by horror train. My friend was wondering about the stinky smell, then came to realize  my shoe was on his face. I supposed to use my shoe to hit anyone who'll touch me.

Night At The Carnival

screams echo in the dark
rich sweat floods
train turns bumpy
grab each other’s tight hugs
my shoe- on his face, mouth

Very cute and creative take on this topic. I really enjoyed this. When I was young and could tolerate rides, I loved going on the scariest ones

Thanks a lot for reading and uplifting words. Usually, I removed my shoe or step-in for self-defence, to hit anyone who will touch me, but my friend grabbed and hugged me too tight. So when we went out from horror house by train, my shoe was on his face. I edited changing 3 words dear.

Creative way to go with this one. I would not want to join them in going through this haunted house. Thanks for sharing this contest entry with us. It reads like a good contender to me. Sara K
