I Left No Trace, In Empty Space

Three days ago, I was buried on
the ground as it seems!
A cascade of issues as the days go by.
The unrelenting sorrows and pain---
Weak, broken, desolation it brings!

I seized the world with open hands,
optimism, smile, love as much as could.
Full of hope, peace and wisdom.
Still joy would vanish out of sight.

I left no trace in an empty space.
In the reality behind the smile,
as the world known for.
The hidden darkness in the hush of silence
Is the act beyond their willpower.

I left no trace, no more words to say,
because 'till my last breathe,
they wore me a thorny crown.
Trying to make my soul empty and thin.

My second home opened
the golden gate anew.
Far from the sharp-bladed tongue
that almost killed me and tortured
my brain into-depth reality.

When peace seems obscure
I sat in a solitary room, calling my angels--
for cure.
Relief, breathe as I prayed in silence
Fearless, and walked away in peace.

I've sought the above, but the answer
is on the ground.
Yes, my inner self revives me--
the real crown is in my heart and soul
in good deeds.

I found my wealth not in my purse
but upon the cross.
In humble hearts and quiet grace,
I met my Lord in an empty space.

Everyday struggles may tire us beyond endurance. We may not get any consolation from anybody, worse still, others may nail us with crowns of thorns. But don't ever lose heart. On such moments, retire to a silent space and look up. You'll surely see God's consoling hands caressing you. A poem very intimate and touching.

Thank you so much for your kind and uplifting words. Yes, it's in those quiet, weary moments that grace finds us—often unseen, but deeply felt. Your reflection truly touched me. Blessings to you always.

A moving poem on man's struggling in this world, suffering because of the evil in this world, only to still myself and look within to the one that overcame this world and has gone to prepare a place for me in paradise. You've touched my heart and soul and I'm happy you shared your thoughts today through your meaningful poetry, Rowena. Smiles ~ Blessings, my dear friend. Bill
