Quotes about Creativity (597 quotes)

We poets, writers, misfits of the world like artist or mystics or troubadours use our gifts to give insight to others we offer more pulling back the covers. We did not fit in with most of our peers. When young we were often taunted to tears. We often were quiet in our own zone. And most of the time you’d find us alone. We’re awkwardly honest most of the time. Our minds think rhythmically also in rhyme. Counting syllables can be frustrating. Keep the lines in each verse relating. Through each medium the end is the same. Sharing our thoughts is the name of the game.

Great poem Bill. When I was young, there was a guy who used to write poems. Most of us used toignore him, never read his poems. Now I see, the poet's life is tough, but at the end, they srvive to a glorious day.

It's not too popular with most young people. Sports and having fun overshadow writing poetry. :-) Thanks for the comments, Jay. Bill

Dear Bill, I say raw and honest anthem for all of us who have ever felt like outsiders, quietly crafting our worlds with words and rhythms. It’s true we do pull back the covers, not just to reveal, but to offer something real and needed. We are on a poetic journey and how lucky we are to share it with kindred spirits who understand the beat of our hearts and the dance of our thoughts. Summer Blessings, Dear Bill, Daniel

Bill, this really spoke to me on such a personal level. I felt seen in every line—from the quiet childhood to the constant pull toward expression. That line “we offer more pulling back the covers” especially hit home—so raw and true. Thank you for putting into words what so many of us carry quietly. A beautiful, honest piece.

writing is the name of the game, whether writer, poet, or lyrisist. I'd like to think we're all mystics. I loved this one...its a favorite as are you

It takes a poet's heart to relate to the poetry from another poet's heart. Thanks for your continuing support. Hugs, Bill
