A Cloud Plopped Down on my Knee

A cloud from the sky plopped down on my knee Said, ‘Do you realize all my rain is for free’ Not only that for the cloud was not done asking, ‘Are you aware I shield folks from the sun’ Taken aback, I kept my mouth shut ~ relaxing under a shady chestnut

Such a whimsical little cloud with a big personality! Gershon’s got that playful touch again—love how it turns into a cozy moment under the tree.

Appreciate the appreciation so much, Rowena. Keep 'those cards and letters coming.' lol. Whimsically, Gershon

The cloud is all wet! Full of himself, my opinion.

Ha, ha, ha. The poet is all wet too, and full of it, to boot. ~ Getting out the shovel...

An honest cloud, honestly is shrouded from the fact that a tree already gives shade. Good to be grateful for both!

simply creative. You amaze me with your ability to rhyme and communicate a story at the same time. Nicely done, sir.

If I were you I’d have asked for a ride, so that I could see the world from both sides. Sunny side up, or rain falling down, for that I’d have paid the cloud half a crown, two and six in old money that is… Beryl
