Church Wedding Poems and Vows

Poinsettia
red and evergreen bushes proudly displayed, joy marriage's first kiss **I got married in December and the church was full of poinsettias....it was so beautiful.

My Perfect Wedding
Wedding March starts, she comes down the church aisle. In a beautiful white gown. Transcending all beauty. Eternally joining two lives to one Saying vows to each other. Prayer then postlude plays. For Dr.Ram Mehta's "Wedding is one of the special events in marriage" contest

Empty Church
The day the earth stood still, bells suspended in the tower, chimes froze in vacant space, nullified the hour. Her veil like spider web, stiff with Winter frost, hung upon the mannequin head, poignant and lost. His buttonhole carnation, a bullet wound lapel, blood red with cautious dying, in the dresser fell. And all the best laid plans unravel seam by seam, faint echoes in an empty church, never more to dream.

Snowflakes, Smiles and Tears
White lace and snowflakes on our wedding day A blizzard raging outside Warmth abounds in the church In spite of the weather all guests arrived To watch as we exchanged rings Most smiled, but mama cried *Written for Dr. Ram’s contest: "Wedding is one of the special events in marriage"

The Wedding
He had brought me flowers. roses. They were darkest red. Church bells tolled from behind with golden sound; bittersweet bittersweet. He came to me, dressed in black; in black with flowers in his hand roses. They were darkest red like exotic dancers adorned with crimson leaves. A crowd was there; people I knew and some were crying. A man of God was there as well. Reading from his book of God. But All I could see was him dressed in black; in black with flowers.
