The Walk Of Fate

It was early evening and Ben Salem was finally an adult taking on the option to claim an allowance from the ex-account.

“Hell of a fire you set Brim Stone,” Ben told his friend over a cup of coffee that his Mother would never touch across the pond.

“Yeah when I talk the talk,” Brim mentioned about the speech he gave to motivate a crowd, “I talk the talk.”

Being adventurous the two decided to take their debatable conversation outside the ale house and on to the cobblestone road when Ben looked up to the sky, “it looks like we are going to get that promised storm.”

And the two tried to find shelter which as fate would have it came from a protecting awning that had inscribed “Rings of Jupiter” on the banner. Looking at the lighted display in the window Brim Stone tried to open pandora’s box, “What about Deb?”

Seeing the advertisement, “Engagement Rings on Sale” Ben retaliated, “What about Deb? What about you?”

Giving him a look Brim then understood the question, “I claim immunity in all that marriage wedding stuff.”

As a cool breeze came through with a few of the raindrops the two got the message to go into the store since God was being very tearful. While browsing through the contents Brim Stone said, “that one is nice.”

“Yes it was very Deb.”

After the credit card came out the sun broke through with a rainbow appearing in the distance. Leaving “Rings of Jupiter”, the pair continued down the street. In a coincidence based on spiritual needs a golden blonde female bumped into them.

“Ben, Brim, it’s been a long time,”

“Deb,” Brim identified, “it’s has been a long time.”

“And what are you two mature adults claiming?”

At that moment Ben found himself on his knees begging for mercy from Deb since “Rings of Jupiter” does not have a return policy.
