The Theatrical Tease

Claiming wanting to ‘Get the W’ Nick the card shark was out of the money and his entry was not even listed in the final scroll.

“Foreman!” He screamed with a loud expression.

“Yes, I am Forman,” she announced, “I am Forman the Foreman.”

“Why is that?”

“I have four men working the show number ‘asphalt pavement’,” Forman responded, “in our winning musical called ‘Street Tail’.”

“What is it about?”

“Catching the ESSO tiger by its tail,” Forman explained.

“Now about my name not being listed in the end credits,” Nick still wanted to find the underlying cause of the problem.

Suddenly, Ben Salem the manager intervened to assist Miss Forman in dealing with the miss understanding.

“Ah, Nick the card shark, it is not nice to put sweet blame on anyone for being out of the money and not listed at the end,” Ben started, “I know you thought you were an unbridled adventurer who was a winner but...”

Nick took a step forward making Miss Forman the cheese in a grilled sandwich, “but what?”

“The sensual Dr. Ann had a lovely place and came at an attractive price,”

“I heard it was well worth the payoff,” Nick angrily interrupted.

“But ‘Street Tail’ ended up Galileo’s Affair and that is why his name is on the show marquee,”

“Galileo! The Scientist! He was a long shot,” Nick waved his arms creating a commotion to those outside the theater.

“He had enough for the starter allowance and you well were,”

“Only there to put your two cents in and come out with nothing,” Miss understanding Forman added up the facts.

Walking away disappointed Nick headed for the subway station but was distracted by a young cover model shining under the streetlamp,

“Do you want to get a drink and tell me what is bothering you?” An inquiry came from a luring voice.

“No, I am out of the money and no one would by my story anyway,” Nick honestly stated heading into the dark underground train station.
