The Tale Of The Christmas Carolers

“Come on,” Sue said. “Go Christmas Caroling with us. It will be fun!”.

“But I don’t want to” said Carolyn “I suck at singing”

“You need to stop thinking of yourself and be spontaneous sometimes” “Go where the wind takes you and stop listening to your feelings all the time”. Said Sue.

“Alright I’ll come” said Carolyn.

“Awesome I’ll pick you up tomorrow evening at 5:00pm” “Remember to wear warm clothes an have fun”. Said Sue.

What have I gotten myself into wondered Carolyn to herself. Oh well to late to back out now she thought. The next day arrived. Carolyn was already to go Christmas Caroling. She was excited. At 500pm Sue picked Carolyn up as promised. They drove downtown on a lovely snowy December evening to meet up with other Christmas carolers. First on the agenda was drinking apple cider. As she was drinking her apple cider Carolyn mingled with Sue and the other Christmas carolers. There was Abigail, Christine, Leanne and Sandra. All for women were really cheerful and they had sparkles to their faces. As it neared 6:00pm Sue called the group together.

“Ready to make some magic happen” Asked Sue

“Yes” said the other women except for Carolyn who was wondering what she had gotten herself into.

So off went the women Christmas Caroling. Carolyn thought they might be knocking on doors but she was mistaken. Instead they walked down quiet residential streets and just sang Christmas songs. Residents would open their doors and when they saw the Christmas carolers smiles would come to their faces and they would be filled with joy and good cheer. The end of the route took the small group of Christmas Carolers to a park. At the park they walked up to a small Charlie Brown Tree. Out of their backpacks the women took out Christmas decorations and decorated the tree as best they could. Then the women surrounded the tree and sang Christmas songs to their hearts content. Finally the evening of Christmas caroling was over. As sue drove Carolyn home she asked Carolyn how she had enjoyed Christmas caroling. Carolyn told sue that she loved Christmas caroling and would join the group year after year for Christmas caroling.

The End.

I hope you enjoyed this short story. This Christmas season don’t forget to take some time to sing Christmas Songs to your hearts content.
