Special benefit of Fiction -- Flash Fiction

When I begin a sizeable writing job of Fiction, I wade in and start. The basic driver is the

idea itself. Massaging the thoughts that support the idea goes on continuously.

The Fiction begins taking shape, and I research bits and pieces for which I need more

familiarity. Resources for the research comes from the Internet, city library, my library, newspapers,

magazines, encyclopedias—whatever source I find.

As the book, story, or article lengthens, it begins taking on a life of its own. As the author,

I enjoy riding along to see where the journey takes me. Such is a special benefit of fiction.

Thanks for sharing. I enjoy reading Memoirs. When I read your title, I was at once fascinated to see what I may glean from it, and then I read on hoping to savor more... The up side of fiction writing is? Compliment of the season.

I have found writing fiction intimidating and although I have gotten a few fictional pieces published these days I stick mostly to poetry and articles about collectibles. I have read plenty of fiction and nowadays a tremendous amount of poetry. I volunteer at Poets House and some people there attempt fiction and screen plays but most I believe are writing poem. I write a lot of Tolkienesque poetry - he wrote what might be considered poetic fiction.
