The only purpose of science is to search for the truth. However, it seems nowadays that the only objective of the use of science for innovation and new technologies is to always increase consumer spending. Therefore, science is being abused for the seek of profits of the consumer-based economy.

We used to go to movie theater with many people. Then comes TV for every family and now smartphone for everyone. Also people used to live in families and now more and more people live alone ( this is leading to many social problems).

The only objective iof each company s to increase consumption. To reach this goal; marketing and advertisements make us believe that happiness is when we consume.

Finally; overconsumption is the main source of global warming.
