Mystery In The Art Store

Once a upon a time their lived a young woman in her early 20s named Sandy Smith who loved to draw and paint. Sandy resided in beautiful vibrant Victoria, BC. She also worked in an art store. Art was her passion and talent. She found art to be relaxing and therapeutic. It was early one morning and Sandy Smith had just awoken to the sun shining through her bedroom window. She got up, got dressed and made a cup of coffee. Then Sandy headed to work. At work a customer came in to the store carrying a painting. The male customer who looked to be in his 30s stated that he didn’t want the painting at the store and asked if could leave it at the store. Without hesitation Sandy Smith said yes. So the young male customer left the painting at the store and then left the store. Sandy Smith took the painting and hung the painting on the wall. She then took a nice long good look at the painting of flowers in a vase and then suddenly a gust of wind came out of nowhere and pulled Sandy Smith into the painting. As Sandy Smith was being pulled into the painting she blacked out. She awoke to find herself in another land, a land full of flowers. In this other land there was a painting of an art store and sandy smith thought to herself oh that painting looks nice and then she realized oh holy crap that’s the art store I work at. She look around this new land and then began to bang on the painting and scream get me out of here. She banged on the painting for hours and hours until she heard a voice say its no use. We are stuck in here. No one in the real world can hear us banging on the painting and screaming but that is a good way to get your pain out. Sandy Smith turned to look at who was speaking and saw another lady. Oh how did you happen to get stuck in this painting? The lady spoke. I got into this painting when it was dropped off at a thrift store. By the way my name is Teresa. Sandy thought for a few minutes and then said to Teresa there must be a way for us to get out this painting if we work together. Okay said Teresa lets work together and some how get out this painting. Have you explored this new world that we are in asked sandy? No said Teresa. Why asked sandy. Because I am afraid of getting lost said Teresa. Well we are in this together so lets go exploring said sandy. We will pretend to be like Dorothy from the wizard of oz and follow the yellow brick road. Oh that sounds like fun said Teresa. So off went sandy and Teresa on an adventure to explore the new land that they were in. as they set off on their adventure they began to sing a song “We’re off to see the Wizard” from the movie the wizard of oz. flowers of all sorts like roses, tulips, lavenders, sunflowers and violets were all over the place. The land that they were in smelled so beautiful. The sky was a lovely blue color. Clouds never appeared in the sky. As they were wandering around looking for a way to get out of the painting Sandy realized she was hungry so she spoke out loud to Teresa. I am hungry. What sort of food is there in this land to eat. Well said Teresa I found out that the flowers in this land are edible. Seriously? Asked Sandy. Yes said Teresa. And as soon as we eat the flowers they grow back in an instant just like magic. Wow said sandy that is so cool. It took a couple of days to search the entire land. But that is exactly what the girls did. They found no one else on inside the painting. Now what were they going to do? The girls began to wrack their brains. Teresa looked at sandy and said when Dorothy was in oz she wore a pair of red shoes and clicked her heals three times and said I want to go home. Lets try the same thing. The girls tried the same thing but nothing happened. Several months had now passed. The girls had given up trying to get home and were now enjoying life living in the painting. But then one day out of no where a gust of wind blew the girls out of the painting back into the real world. The girls never knew how they ended up in the painting or how they got out of the painting. But they burned the painting as they never wanted anyone else to get stuck in the painting again. They returned to their lives working at the art store and the thrift store and kept in contact for the rest of their lives.

hey I think this story was so cool! I wouldn't mind being stuck in a painting, even for a little while. My choice would be starry starry night - van gogh
