Mysterious World

One night a young girl was sleeping, then all of a sudden there was a whoosh. The girl, Katie, woke up with a start. “W-what was that? It must have been imagination, I hope,” Katie said, she shook with fear. A shadow passed by, Katie pulled the covers over her face and whimpered. There was muffled bicker in the hallway, and then loud footsteps came towards the door. “Shut up, you numbskull,’ whispered one of the men that was coming through the door. Katie trembled, she peeked up to see who it was. The darkness covered the intruders like a blanket, but she managed to see a tall skinny man with black hair and a small twig sticking out of his grinning mouth. The other man was a short man with a big fat belly, and he was holding a bat covered with blood, “Let’s do it, Mark.” Said the short fat man. The tall skinny man, Mark, replied, “Jack, hand me the bat. I need to kill her, don’t ask why since we went over this in the hallway. I know you want ask any way, so the reason why is because this one is the ugliest, rudest, kid ever. She never does what anyone tells her to do, and always IS SO FREAKIN’ RUDE!” Mark had tears in his eyes when he said the reason why he was going to kill her. “Why is she so rude?! Just tell me! Dude we’ve robbed hundreds of places but we have never actually killed someone for real, I think it’s a little bit much.’” The fat man, Jack said. “Fine I’ll tell you, but you have to promise not to repeat this to any one!” Mark aggressively said. Jack nodded his head without a sound. Mark gulped and then he sighed, “So yesterday, I dropped my cell phone on the ground and I couldn’t reach it, so I asked her for help and she said, ‘oh no ugly stranger! Stranger danger, for my EYES, no I will not help you! Look at you, with those stupid clothes and that ugly hair. Oh is that a wig? Let me check.’ Then she pulled my hair” Jack stared then he ever so slowly gave him the bat. Katie scrambled to the bottom of the bed, “This one’s a runner,” said Mark. Then Jack ran over picked Katie up, and …………………………….. SCREAM!!!!! That was it she was dead, or was she?

The next day, Chapter 2

The next day everyone was full of sorrow, Katie thought it was probably her. Didn’t people know she escaped? Katie dressed up so no one would recognize her, “What’s all the commotion about?” asked Katie in a deeper voice. “A sweet innocent girl, named Katie got killed last night! We think two murderers named Jack, and Mark got her. Why do we think that? Well, first they left a bat that had ‘Jack, and Mark’s bat, do not touch” written on it. Second Jack left his “Killer Coat” inside, and finally Jack and Mark wrote “We killed this girl,” with blood on the wall.” said Katie’s neighbor. Katie looked down, why did these people think she was dead? Katie ran back to her house and grabbed her backpack. She ran off to school, once she arrived at school her stomach had a painful feeling, it was a feeling she had never felt before. Katie ignored it and told her teacher that she was new here and wanted to pick a friend to show her around. The teacher, Mrs. Sophie said yes, so Katie picked her best friend and asked her to show her where the bathroom was. Once in the bathroom, Katie grabbed her friend’s hand, and pulled her into the handicap stall. “What are you doing!? Let go jerk! Stop,” Shouted Kylie, (Katie’s best friend’s name). Katie locked the stall and took off her jacket and uncurled her hair, then she said, “Don’t leave it’s me, your BFF.” Kylie froze she tried to say, your alive? She failed, the words that came out of her mouth sounded like chicken words. Katie shushed her and calmly said, “I escaped from them, but no one believes it’s me. PLEASE believe me! Don’t tell anyone!” Kylie nodded her head and said, “Cross my heart, will not lie, I won’t tell anyone or else I’ll die.” As they started to leave the stall the janitor came in, Kylie and Katie looked at each other fearfully. Kylie’s face lit up, she must have a plan! Kylie whispered, “If one of us crawls over to the other stall the janitor won’t know that we are in here together.” Katie loved the plan, as she crawled to the other stall her hoodie fell off, she tripped. Katie’s banged her head on the ground, she unconscious for a bit but she quickly became conscious again. The janitor was curious he walked over and started to open the stall, Katie tried to crawl back, but she hit her head. As the janitor saw her he gasped. Katie crawled out and walked over to him. “Hey Mr. Janitor you better not tell anyone about this or I’ll tell the principle about your fake qualification for this job, that’s right I know that you never went to a school! I’ll tell her everything, be quite don’t say a word, not that you can,” Katie said rudely. The janitor gulped and ran out, “Smooth move Katie!” Kylie said, they fist bummed and walked back to class laughing about what just happened. The rest of the day flew day, at recess the teacher threw Katie a welcoming party with awesome music! Katie and Kylie had so much fun, but then Katie saw a flaw in her plan as Mrs. Sophie asked her what her transportation was, she froze. Now she understood why she felt wrong as soon as she walked into the classroom. Katie thought she was so dumb, she didn’t even think it threw! In her mind she thought, “Ugh, one thing I did wrong was the only thing I had to do right!” Katie thought about all the flaws she had make in her plan, he didn’t think about she didn’t think about her parents and transportation to get home. Wait, Katie could go home with Kylie! “I’m going home with Kylie,” Katie said full of hope. The teacher looked at me like I was speaking another language, sighed and said, “Ok, but are you sure that’s your way home?” I nodded and said, “Yup our moms know each other! Were besties!” The teacher sighed again and wrote something down on her clip board. Kylie looked at Katie the same way Mrs. Sophie looked at Katie. When it was time to leave Katie followed Kylie. “I still don’t understand why you said you should go home with me,” Kylie said. “I’m not I said I am going with you I’m actually sneaking home to tell my mom and dad I’m okay,” Katie said digging though her backpack. Kylie looked at me said, “what I thought you didn’t want anyone to know you’re okay?’” “I didn’t say that, I want to get all the facts first then I’ll see what happens. I don’t want anyone to know just yet, maybe if people find out I could destroy the world!” Katie said. Kylie rolled her eyes, she knew there was no way talking Katie out of this. As Kylie and Katie turned their separate ways one of Katie’s neighbors / classmate saw her and ran up. “Why are you going to Katie’s house? Wait are you that new kid? Seriously you are, like, totally weird,” Said the kid, Emma rudely. Katie didn’t want to be discovered so instead of talking she ran, and ran, and ran! At last she reached her house, Katie sneaked into her backyard. Katie knowns a trick to jump super high on her trampoline, so high that she can boost herself off a tree and then jump into her bedroom window! She jumped, she boosted herself off a tree, and then she was in her room. Katie searched her room cautiously, in case of any traps. Then out of nowhere Katie was grabbed, she turned her head to see who it was. They were wearing a coat of sunshine coming though Katie’s transparent window. Who was it? It was the killer duet, JACK AND MARK!! “Ugh let go of me you thieves! What do you want!?” Shouted Katie. Jack slapped a watch on Katie’s hand. “There you go kid, a nice watch. Whenever you get upset the watch turns you evil, how does that sound?” Mark said in a sassy tone. “Huh? It does WHAT!?” Shouted Katie. Jack rolled his eyes and said smoothly, “Kid, Mark already told you, so let’s say there’s a dance coming up and you really want to dance with your crush.” Katie cheeks turned cherry blossom red as Jack continued, “Yes I know about Samuel, and how you love his tall high, blond hair, and how did I forget. You also love his voice, over the nights you sleep talk about his voice, so let’s say Samuel won a contest and Kylie won a contest. They would dance together.” She jumped away from them. Then she stomped towards Jack and Mark and then she said with her voice rising, “That Will NEVER HAPPEN!!” Mark had an evil grin on his face when he said, “Oh it could, because look here on this flyer it says that your school is having a dance. Plus, there will be a contest for boys and girls, whoever wins each contest gets to dance for everyone to see. Looks like it could happen.” Mark was waving a flyer as he talked. Katie’s face was a color that was mixed with purple and red, she looked at the watch they had given her. It showed her heart, one fourth was black, “What’s happening to my heart?” Katie asked nervously. Jack looked at her watch as he said, “That looks like you’re getting mad, and don’t you remember that if you mad you’ll turn evil? Well that much of you is evil, if you fill up the whole heart that means you’re completely evil. Then you’ll come running back to us, and we will place a bomb in every house. Next Mark, you, I will force people to give us there stuff. But, if they don’t we will explode the bomb!” Katie helplessly looked back and forth, then she looked down in despair. She broke free from Jack’s and Mark’s grip and jumped back out her window on to the trampoline. Without thinking she ran, until she reached Kylie’s house. As she started to knock, she thought, “If people know I’m here it won’t turn me evil!” But then she started to remember what Jack and Mark said, about turning evil. Her face started to turn red, oh no! She was getting mad, as she looked at her hands they started to fade away. Then her watch beeped, she looked down at it to see, Jack and Mark’s face. “Oh and a little thing I forgot to mention, when your heart is half way full of evil, you’ll start turning into a GHOST!” Jack sassily said. The screen on her watch turned to her heart, she looked at it. It was half way full, she sat at her friend’s porch feeling herself getting angrier and angrier! She glanced at her watch again, this time she only had one fourth of her heart left. Katie thought about something, ghosts can fly. Then Katie remembered she was part ghost, she jumped knowing the odds were against her. She covered her eyes and looked down, there was no ground under her. Then without a sound she flew through her friend’s window.

Chapter 3, Loss of friendship, start of evil

Once she was in, Katie gently tapped Kylie to wake her up. She looked at her as Kylie jumped up and screamed, “It’s a ghost! Mother HELP!” Kylie shouted, Katie heard Kylie’s mother’s footsteps run up the stairs. “Get back you evil no-good GHOST” her mother howled. But as soon as she saw Katie she fainted “Mom! Okay you ghost you may have defeated my mom but you won’t get me!” Kylie said bravely “Hey, hey calm down it’s me!” Katie explained “You’re a ghost, eww why are all the sudden are you a gross slimy ghost?” Kylie said “It’s an effect the two robbers got on me,” Katie said, then Kylie’s phone made a beeping noise Kylie grabbed it with excitement, her face turned a dark red as she looked at the phone and read the text she had gotten. “OMG!” Kylie yelled “What? What is it?!” Katie yelled “I got a text from Samuel asking me to dance with me at the party, and he said that he won the contest and I won the girls’ contest! YES!” Kylie shouted. “Hey can I come with you guys?” Katie asked. Rain started to dance across the side walk as she said, “Omg, did you really think that I’d let you go you slimy ugly thing!? I was just using you so sooner or later I’d gut Samuel, you are a FOOL!” with every word Kylie’s voice grew louder and louder. So did the rain by the time she said you are the rain was rising flooding the streets and when she spoke the word fool the thunder awoke with a loud bang echoing through the house, the two girl stared at each other both had tears streaming down there cheeks , “FINE I DON’T NEED A HORRIBLE FRIEND LIKE YOURSELF!” Katie shouted then she flew through the open window, she flew in the sky and cried and cried. Katie found an old abandoned ware house and flew inside, her only companion was the moon light shining through an old window and the sound of her tears hitting the plastic sheet she sat upon. And she stayed there till she had cried more tears than the rain outside, she threw herself on the ground. Hours and hours later then rain lightened and the moon was setting itself and the sun rose up into the sky. Katie had fallen asleep but she was awaken with a growl, Katie jumped up and said, “Who’s there show yourself?!” The growl continued and she looked down at her stomach, “Ugh it was just my stomach,” she complained, then a tall man came in, his hair was the color of sunshine, his eyes were as blue as the ocean, his legs were as long as a skyscraper. He came in and set food down in front of Katie, “Thank you but how did you know I was here?” Katie asked, “No questions, you have a dark future be prepared for whatever you shall come across. Someday, sometime you will realize that there was nothing to be afraid of,” the tall man said in dark voice, then he threw her a necklace, “Wear this at all times and you shall be 99% safer but that 1 little percent can do a lot of damage, beware of your emotions or else you’ll end up with Jack and Mark.” The man warned, Katie felt stunned, “I leave you with a riddle of a rhyme,” the man said “Your emotions are only true to you, they make you happy said and blue, but tell me, who do you trust your emotions with but yourself who?” the man said, Katie turned her head into a slight angle “Who to the what now?” she said. The man sighed and said, “Your emotions are only true to you, they make you happy said and blue, but tell me, who do you trust your emotions with but yourself who?” “Oh, that still makes no sense at all but I’ll keep it in my head,” said Katie. The man rolled his eyes and handed her a piece of paper that said “your emotions are only true to you they make you happy sad and blue but tell me who do you trust your emotions with but yourself who?” the man had left the room as Katie was intently reading it, but as she as she looked up she didn’t care that the man was gone. She looked at her watch, surprisingly it went down a lot. She looked at the necklace the strangle man had given her, “Did this necklace really bring down my anger?” she thought. Katie jumped up expecting to fly, but the realized she was a normal person, “Yes I’m not a ghost anymore! I can go to the dance!” Katie exclaimed with pure joy, Katie threw on her hoodie and rushed to her house jumped on her trampoline, off the tree and threw and the window. Once inside she grabbed the most beautiful dress she had and put it on. Down she went, no one could recognize her with that beautiful hair and dress, “I can at least be able make it to the dance!” Katie exclaimed and she rushed to the dance. She threw open the doors and the first thing she saw was two figures kissing, the sun got in her eyes and she squinted. “WHAT!” Katie exclaimed, the two kids that were kissing was Samuel and Kylie. Kylie stopped for a second to give me a smirk, then she continued her romance with Samuel. She threw her knees to the ground the necklace went flying, her emotions were spinning. Katie was mad, no sad, no! She looked at the watch it was completely full, Katie was evil. Her beautiful brown hair became dark and oily, her beautiful blue eyes became a dark red, her lovely green dress rapped around her so she could never take it off and each of those layers of her dress became vines to whip people. Her dress became a killer machine, Katie threw bombs at the party they all exploded, Samuel, Kylie, and everyone died. Slow clapping started and two figures appeared, Jack and Mark, “Well look what we have here a killer Katie, it’s about time you join our team now COME!” Mark said. Katie started twitching as she looked at them, it started with her head then her arms joined along with her legs. She was out of control!!! Katie turned her head like a clock ticking ever little jagged move, she saw Kylie. All the sudden she got dizzy everything they had been through, yet they still come out together. Katie’s head was shaking, “N-no I-it can’t b-be! No nooo!!” Katie yelled, she threw bombs at Jack and Mark, she threw the biggest one she had. BOOOOOOOOOOOM, everything got blasted backwards Jack and Mark gone for sure! Katie perhaps not, her hand landed on the necklace, she could be saved! Then she looked at Kylie her betrayed friend, panting so, so hard. Struggling to stay alive, Katie pulled the necklace with all her might towards her, the pushed it around Kylie’s neck. She was healed, Kylie stood up and looked down at Katie, “You did this for me even after I was so cruel, I’m sorry” Katie’s was back to normal except for one thing, she was dying, “Today, I was hiding and a man came in and gave me this riddle,” Katie struggled to say, Kylie got the paper out and read it, her eyes water. “Oh Katie, oh Katie, Katie,” Kylie said as she bent down and grabbed Katie’s hand. Katie’s eyes were getting harder to stay up, then, her arm fell. She stopped breathing, she was gone, “Katie why I’m sorry! I’m so sorry!!!!!!!!” Kylie said, and all that day to Kylie was lost. The end.
