If I Was A Prophet

(Below is a concluding assignment that was homework for my Modern World Religions class asking if I was a Prophet what type of religion would I begin. I have just completed it today and decided to upload it. Wanting to reveal my way of writing and believing. In search of positive feedback and encourage the reader to write their own Totem Body response. To better understand their own beliefs and values thus far on their lifes journey.)

When one thinks about the beginning of creation, where there is no time or idea of what space is, compared to the many definitions and discoveries taught today, life is full of the vastness that is creativity. To form and shape a religious belief or faith that others may follow the directions to go and think are endless. With my way of being and viewpoints thus far in my journey through this life I have decided to branch into a more scientific psychological approach. Considering my first name, Kristina, means a Christian follower, I believe Christianity was created during a time of the scientific study of faith and science of belief. In contrast to what began the reformation of faithful teachings this is all based on my own personal life experiences and opinion. Certainly, after taking this class a variety of teachings ranging from Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Celtic Druidism and Christianity have influenced how if I was a Prophet what religion would I chose to begin. Firstly, I would incorporate the holistic methods of mental healing through a historic reliving of our past that makes us into who we are. Utilizing traumatic life events that have taken us away from belief to the happy times that we have given thanks and praise. Combining the religious doctrine with the medicine doctrine in a way that brings old life into new life, where answers to many questions are finally revealed through finding our Totem Body. A metaphysical and spiritual religion that uses old knowledge and teachings to form new knowledge and ways to be better taught. Interpretations with analogies that integrate with reality our spiritual past, through an awakened awareness of personal life experiences that effect or change our views of religious belief through life.

As a prophet I would bring to light the many different healing perspectives we as human beings become witnesses to. From birth to adulthood our views and knowledge grows with changes. That is why the type of religion I would form would be one that develops all those different senses over the course of our life into our main body of belief. Finding our knowledge of faith ever expanding we are constantly learning, evolving and applying diverse ways to live daily. As we are made of flesh and bone having a more solid spine view of religious beliefs in the image of a totem pole will allow for many more positive life paths, options and lessons to follow. For me it is more about creating a religion that also involves our history of belief. One that develops over the span of our life by reviewing our personal past to present understanding of faith. As I stated earlier, it is a more scientific psychological evaluation that gathers an individual perspective of life experiences of religion into a full form body application. As every person is in a paralleling universe that is immersed into different family dynamics, social crowds and educational environment, these all will factor in when deciding what we choose to believe. Having that freedom of choice all throughout life as our eyes witness change is a beautiful way towards self-discovery. From aging into maturity the comprehension of this belief is a way of incorporating and accepting all lessons taught from many faithful religious teachings that cross our personal life paths.

The religious following would be called becoming a part of a “Totem Body.” Defined as belief in the teachings of religion that have helped shape and mold our body. From the bottom base, which would be our feet, to the pinnacle top of our mind, Totem Body faith is one where not only is our souls history searched and explored, we take the opportunity to place each difference in line with our human form. A personal and unique experience for those who seek religious self-awareness. Each Totem Body resembles a totem pole made into sections of five to adhere to the Five Points on the Star of David. Breaking up our own human body to reflect this totem pole with our own personal religious milestones. As we grow up so do our beliefs. Forming a solid pole of beliefs and practices within our core bodies. Beginning at the bottom of the totem pole, that would represent our “feet or base” of where we first stood upon. The most influential in our life and development. Separated into two forms, our family’s faith and the nature of the caretaker, the natural reliance upon the air we breathed in as a child and our parents own personal choice for our upbringing. The next segment of the pole would be the legs or “knees”, where there are one or two ways of becoming more involved in our base faiths or we are led to pick up new beliefs as we journey stepping through life. The third portion of the pole reveals our main body or “heart” of belief, which is the center of our being that one faith settles to live within our hearts spirit. Working our way up the pole the fourth part of our Totem Body would be our arms or “hands”, where there is one faith we chose to read and the other we chose to write, continuing our process towards individualistic spiritual growth. Finally, at the tip of the totem within is our head or “mind” portion, where there is the mental standards and guidelines set that have been instilled in our everyday thoughts.

There is a natural beauty to each difference that we individually pick up and choose to share. Reminding ourselves of each part of goodness that we obtain from different religious teachings and guideline that we retain. With so many various cultural aspects and influences that have generated social religious structure and change, finding those parts that may create our own open mindset and viewpoints is the main goal. Much like the Native American belief that totem poles were created to ward off evil spirits. Totem Body faith would internally shape oneself to build strength in the wide array of goodness with each faithful teaching, so there would be more religious acceptance and less discrimination. Totem Body faith is more of the adventure that one would undergo in search for more answers that guide them towards their own belief. Every family and person within learns ways of viewing life that brings insight into where they began believing and what remains true to them during their lifes journey. Giving each follower their own lifes history, a religious psychological structure that may continue to be mentally, physically and spiritually added upon all aspects of lifes past to current sociological standing. Without any bias or judgement passed, to each their very own and its more for the individual to be guided and encouraged to be open-minded. Finding many things of faithful love to share and become more comfortable being religiously outspoken.

The way the totem pole is made up so is the image of God. Segmented into the various abstract characteristics that provide visual and spiritual assistance to our own personalities perspective. In a comparable way to Hinduism, Buddhism and Celtic Druidism there is the feeling of nature’s polytheism where the only difference is that the many Gods or elementals form the image of the one God. Like any well-structured corporation or business, the world as we see it needs to be delegated. How Totem Body faith would see the Creator or God, would be that he is made up of the many natural forces that keep the earth in balance. The elements that are our natural resources that provide and sustain our lives. The air and oxygen we need to breath, the water and life force that is needed to flow over the green life to grow and nourish the plants, the earth and soil that is heated by the suns warmth incubating growth of life and the fire within that brings forth new land for man to live upon and thrive. Finally, as magnificent as visions of my own imagination may wonder, what has created the unexplainable aspects of lifes magical workings? From the viewpoint of being one who’s a Totem Body, thinking of being a bearer of witnessing a sunrise and set, the moon change from full to crescent and the stars that shoot in the night sky. All these wonders of nature formed by the creative thoughts of God’s minds mechanisms, that have shaped this celestial Earth, universe and his way of mysterious design. Figuring out the infinite number of possibilities that have been placed in this numeric world in never ending and so should the search for keeping true to belief in a Higher Power. Trusting to never lose sight when given two eyes, to follow the blessings that are always disguised. The way to better understand what is out of reach to grasp is by accepting what is within reach and that is finding our own reasons to believe.

Scientifically speaking about the conjoining of the elements into the form of one Godly spirit and religions into the form of our spiritual bodies. By practicing our own way of processing the things we encounter from day to day, year to year and life to life we begin to wrap our own Totem Body into a way of life that is more freeing that the confines of one belief. The power of the belief in many things leaves our inner heart door wide open to acceptance and is a practice that should be sought daily. Meditation along with physical stimulation that involves connecting to the love of ourselves and personal life journeys. Not placing blame on what we do not see, more finding faith in the invisible while searching for ways to change the visible. Life can be what we make it and with this belief the creativity evolves our everyday way of being into one that is more fulfilling. Full of exciting new discoveries that enhance our lifes goals and desires towards striving to never stop learning about what it is we seek.

The truth, was written, will set us free, so constantly revealing what has been true to us, from what has been false is a part of the Totem Body religious journey. A quote, by Thomas Jefferson, made me view our human body in a new way, “The whole art of government consists in the art of being honest.” When it comes to caring and governing our bodies, finding what keeps us righteous and honest within through our beliefs is how we may live day to day in the right direction. Though many stumbles occur on the road to enlightenment, seeing the lessons in that trip is how we know the wrong turn was never wasted time. Realizing that life is too short to not continue our own way to live, accepting that we are never done expanding our sympathy or empathy indefinitely, for there are always more shoes to imagine oneself walking in. To discipline our Totem Body towards finding our confidence to respect authority, practice rituals openly, always speculate better ways, keep to honest traditions that bring honor, love remaining graceful under the watching heavens and be excited to search for the many mysteries within lifes history to learn.
