Heading Downtown After The Court Win

When Dray Magic left the ranks, the warrior felt like gold since the state gave him a mature starter allowance to enter his next phase of life.

Walking down the dirty boulevard he saw a youngster sitting on the curb trying to figure out how to use an instrument filled with colorful images.

Putting it down for a second the child opened his eyes, “you took the money didn’t you?”

Stunned Dray stopped in his tracks, “it was my way out since I was out of the money.”

“Really,” the kid looked into the contraption to see the mirror reflections, “everything seemed so clear to you Dray, didn’t it?”

“Hey, gimmie some slack, Kaleidoscope kid,” Dray yelled back.

“Who was Jonny,” the innocent voiced inquired.

“It was Jonny’s choice, I was following the deputy’s command since I was out of the money,” Dray pleaded as guilt started to rear its head to find the truth.

Standing up with dark eyes the son of a witch stated, “You told him remember to breath when he could not even hear you since his arc was technically fouled,”

“Whoa boy! What are you claiming?” Dray Magic felt the dirty boulevard pull him into being honest.

Continuing the child stop playing around, “I am over nine years old and claiming you said you were defending your turf but all you wanted was the paradise of easy money, Johnny missed getting his stripes from the charity line!”

About an hour later Dray Magic found himself inside a garden with a rim and net beside him. And a voice from beyond announced, “you can make many of them if you work together but since there is no one around well I guess you have to weave it down the hard wood,” the voice paused, “all by yourself.”
