Encouraged to Continue

Today, I caught an encore broadcast of "Touching the Stillness" hosted by Rev. Paulette Pipe. I hadn't caught the broadcast for the past few weeks, so I was stunned when I listened and found out that the show I was listening to was her final podcast. She had been on the air with Unity Online Radio for almost ten years. I had first come to her about eight years ago and would listen to it now and then live. I took in her inspirational messages and relaxing and empowering meditations mostly through archived shows to get caught up.

She recalled a recent time of prayer that she conducted as a "Keeper of the Flame" for Unity, where she explained to someone trying to end their meeting that was was 'not done yet.' Thus, she earned a hashtag she joyously remembered: #I'mNoDoneYet.

As she moves forward with her Touching the Stillness ministry via her website, touchingthestillness.org, she encouraged me as well to continue. Although, I had made up my mind to do so earlier this year (i.e., this new page here). At times, I feel a little discouraged looking through different eyes and feeling as though the vision I once held so close to my heart for my life is changing as well, but at all entirely vanaishin.

I also recall a very recent audiobook I listened to called "Standing Tall" by C. Vivian Stringer. With all she had been through in her life, there were and are sill victories to be excited about and I'm sure more to look forward to. It's about counting blessings. Within the Akashic records of my heart and soul, blessings take up a lot of space and I do look forward to more claiming their place the others.

I must admit I don't always feel this optimistic or confident. There are days when I feel downright scared and am filled with such uncertainty that it turned into a sort of 'not knowing what to feel' kind of feeling.

And so, now I am enouraged today. While I'm uncertain about some things, I am certain I will continue to share the words that come through and the creative activities that come through too.

So, check out my little article here on poetrysoup.com called, Writing for Healing: A Summer of Soul Journaling. It's not only good activity for the summer, but for anytime of the year. Enjoy.

Peace and stay encouraged.
