She closes her eyes, which usually helps her deal with reality.

She pictures yourself running through a field of lilacs and daisies in a beautiful, flowing blue dress. The wind blows softly against her, pushing her blonde curls into her face. The earth is soft beneath her feet as the thunder along the ground, she runs and runs until finally she reaches a babbling Stream full of Lily pads that are starting to bloom. he stops and tilts her head to the heavens Laughing she Throws her arms out and dances around until she’s too exhausted to continue. She lies down on her back with a smile beaming on her face as the sun shines on her, giving a feeling of warmth. She closes her eyes and falls asleep.

She opens her eyes to see the Hospital room with its pale gray walls and oddly placed pictures. The room smells of sweat and bleach projecting only sadness. On her left is a wheelchair, the one she will be confined to for the rest of her life. A tear falls down her cheek as she remembers her new reality. Her phone buzzes with a notification. She reaches for it and reads the message. “ Hi Avery we miss you so much! We can't wait until you can come back to the farm and see the horses again. Bella really misses you! We ALL miss you! “ She Thinks about replying but she doesn’t know what to say. She knows she will never be able to do any of the things again. She closes her eyes and goes back to the fields of lilacs and daisies.
