Another Year, Another Buc

It had been nearly a month since Christmas, when everybody spoke his name for four hours during the big football game. But when the alarm rang Gasparilla realized he was 36 years old and had a lot at stake this year.

And one of those things that he needed to add to the bucket list was falling in love with the right maiden. But only problem was none had crossed his path due to the point that he lived on a ghostly ship where the choppy surf kept him vigilant to his purpose.

Taking a bottle of Johnnie Walker that sat next to the spread of Crown Royale Gasparilla put a shot into his English Breakfast while enjoying the AM sunrise. Checking both his Longines and Rolex watches he peered to see the daily Swiss Sky Diver exhibition performance scheduled to wake up the senior village on shore.

Suddenly there was a hissing sound and Gasparilla turned around to see a snake all coiled up wanting to talk. “Nagini, where did you come from?” the Pirate ghostly figures stated.

“Harry Potter is out of the money so I hooked up with a water snake and he said you had a good franchise going?”

“Franchise?” Gasparilla inquired.

“Yeah, franchise,”

“I have a deal with the football game and the horse race every year that gets me seen even know I am a ghost.”

“So you are not the Pirate that has the big franchise?”

“No,” Gasparilla was being honest, “but I do have a good steak.”

Within a second the boat started to rock, “What was that?” Nagini inquired.

“Two sixty-year old’s flew by in a speed boat,” Gasparilla announced, “that is what I am talking about I am 36 and I am hoping I have that much strength when I am their age.”

“You’re a ghost, relax,” Nagini tried to comfort him when there was a voice from above, “We the clouds hear you,” their statement started, “tell us what Bucky’s dream is.”

“To fall in love!” He yelled out when a small image emerged and flew right into the scene.

“Why do you want to fall in love, you have it really good you can see them but they cannot see you,” the Fairy Diva told him, “do you have a silver bank?” she asked him.

“Yeah,” he replied pointing to his treasure chest.

“Let me see what I can do,” the Fairy Diva replied than snapping her fingers than as quickly as she appeared the fantasy was gone but not before Nagini hopped on the Fairy Diva’s wings.

Going back to his English Breakfast Gasparilla heard a sound from the back of the boat and went to see what it was when a female wearing a drenched Swiss Sky Diver’s outfit came aboard.

“Hi, my name is Ceci Valentine and I am looking for love,” her quivering voice translated and despite the swim Gasparilla could still smell the Bramble Berry fragrance, “I am from Mo City in Texas you know close to Sugar Land.”

Taking a step back Gasparilla looked at the figure that was sent, “So do you want to go and enjoy my steaks? They are 36 years old.”

“Well I love a good piece of meat.” And the two sailed out into the new day glistening with hope
