3 DAUGHTERS
Many years ago I almost married a girl. That is not unusual many people get close and for what ever reason they don't get married. It my case I found out that she was still married to her first husband. Well that put a stop to all of our plans. We lived together for a while. She finally decide she had enough and left. I was in the USAF at the time. Shortly after she left I was told I was going to be transferred to Canada. Right after I transferred I got a message that the girl was going to have twins and I was the father. I was very happy. The next letter said she had twin girls and they both were healthy. I was even happier. Then no news for about 6 month's. Then one night I got a call from the girl's family. The state took the twins away because she did not take care of them. I was asked to come down and see what I could do. So I flew down. There was almost nothing I could do because she said the guy she was living with was the father. I did get a chance to see the girls for about an hour. I tried to take some pictures but my camera didn't work. So no pictures. The girls were put in a foster home. About 16 months later they were left alone by a swimming pool and both girls fell in a drowned.
I lost my girls. It was hard, I thought about them a lot. I even gave them other names. I decided that all I could ever give them was names so I did. They died in 1975.
15 years later in 1990 one of my favorite nieces came up to me and said she was about to have a girl. She was very happy. The problem was the father for whatever reason wanted nothing to do with the girl. So she asked me to be Godpa and she called it. I agreed, It was one of the best things I ever did. Watching the girl grow up and spending time with her.
In 2017 that girl had a baby. A beautiful little girl. She had a bad start but is doing very well now. One day I was asked what I wanted the baby to call me. I said Grandpa was fine with me. So it was agreed upon. Then I had 2 daughters again a god daughter and a grand daughter. I was happy
About 3 years ago my niece married again. The man is a big Englishman. He was raising a daughter by himself. The daughter was 6 years old when they got married and cute as all get out. I am always thinking about my god daughter and grand daughter. About 6 months ago I started adding my niece's step daughter in without even realizing it. Now I think about my god daughter, my grand daughter and my adopted daughter. Now I have 3 daughters.
I still think about my twins a lot and can't wait to be reunited with them. I have to wait until God says my work down here is done.
I also have 3 daughters down here to think about and that makes me very happy.
God took my daughters back to heaven I guess he did not like what was in store for the twins. But now he has given me 3 more daughters to love. I am very happy.
