Colossians 3:5:
Put to death, therefore, whatever belongs to your earthly nature: sexual immorality, impurity, lust, evil desires and greed, which is idolatry.
(NIV)
So kill (deaden, deprive of power) the evil desire lurking in your members [those animal impulses and all that is earthly in you that is employed in sin]: sexual vice, impurity, sensual appetites, unholy desires, and all greed and covetousness, for that is idolatry (the deifying of self and other created things instead of God).
(AMP)
Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth; fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil concupiscence, and covetousness, which is idolatry:

The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who supress the truth by their wickedness, since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature - have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse. For although they knew God, they neither glorified him as God nor gave thanks to him, but their thinking became futile and their foolish hearts were darkened. Although they claimed to be wise, they became fools and exchanged the glory of the immortal God for images made to look like mortal man and birds and animals and reptiles. Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another. They exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator - who is forever praised. Amen.

Galatians 5:19:
The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery
(NIV)
Now the doings (practices) of the flesh are clear (obvious): they are immorality, impurity, indecency
(AMP)
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness,
(KJV)

Purity is not imposed upon us as though it were a kind of punishment, it is one of those mysterious but obvious conditions of that supernatural knowledge of ourselves in the Divine, which we speak of as faith. Impurity does not destroy this knowledge, it slays our need for it.

Ephesians 5:3:
But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for the Lord's people.
(NIV)
But immorality (sexual vice) and all impurity [of lustful, rich, wasteful living] or greediness must not even be named among you, as is fitting and proper among saints (God's consecrated people).
(AMP)
But fornication, and all uncleanness, or covetousness, let it not be once named among you, as becometh saints;
(KJV)

But no perfection is so absolute, That some impurity doth not pollute.

1 Corinthians 6:18:
Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins people commit are outside their bodies, but those who sin sexually sin against their own bodies.
(NIV)
Shun immorality and all sexual looseness [flee from impurity in thought, word, or deed]. Any other sin which a man commits is one outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.
(AMP)
Flee fornication. Every sin that a man doeth is without the body; but he that committeth fornication sinneth against his own body.
(KJV)

Romans 1:24:
Therefore God gave them over in the sinful desires of their hearts to sexual impurity for the degrading of their bodies with one another.
(NIV)
Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their [own] hearts to sexual impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin](AMP)
Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

1 Corinthians 5:1:
It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that even pagans do not tolerate: A man has his father's wife.
(NIV)
IT IS actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, impurity of a sort that is condemned and does not occur even among the heathen; for a man has [his own] father's wife. [Deut. 22:30; 27:20.](AMP)
It is reported commonly that there is fornication among you, and such fornication as is not so much as named among the Gentiles, that one should have his father's wife.
(KJV)

We are not na?ve enough to ask for pure men; we ask merely for men whose impurity does not conflict with the obligations of their job.

|
But do not let immorality or any impurity or greed even be named among you, as is proper among saints. Ephesians 5:3
