ONE new original poem in Cinqopet (pronounced "sing-kō-pay") form, which consists of 5 stanzas of 5 lines each. The first 3 lines of each stanza are in Iambic Tetrameter (soft/hard syllables x 4), the 4th and 5th lines are catalectic, meaning one less syllable or 7 syllables in soft/hard sequence. All this requires is removing the last hard syllable of an Iambic Tetrameter line ... it's very rhythmic, so keep that rhythm going. There is also a tag at the end of the poem of your choice - it can be a single word, a single line, another stanza - whatever you wish! The rhyme form is AAABB, CCCDD, EEEFF, GGGHH, IIIJJ, Tag. The topic is RHYTHM, and this can be in ANY sense of the word - physical, metaphorical, literal, music, rhythm in nature, rhythm on a quantum level, the rhythm of the Universe - whatever you can dream up, as long as the word "RHYTHM" is used at least once in the poem, and it's clear that's what the poem is about. Title can be anything of your choosing. Please have fun, and please don't hesitate to message me about the form - There were only 3 poems out of 40 last time that came close, and it's much simpler than it sounds. I judge completely BLIND, so please don't take placements personally - I also, from time-to-time, may overlook form errors for the sake of other qualities, like creativity and imagery. Thank you, my fellow soupers!
