Contest Description
What to Submit?
1 original FREE VERSE*, descriptive poem in the present tense on the theme of politics.
Polly is fictitious, I know, but make her sound real. She has been in high-level local or national** politics for years and years, so be as cynical as possible about her. The title of your poem will be
I'm Cynical of Polly
Round it off well at the finish of your poem - think outside the box for how you can do that.
By the way, Polly isn't part of the Women's Movement. You may applaud that, or make it part of your cynicism if you want to mention it.
* not PROSE PUT INTO STANZAS, or any rhyming words.
** your choice
I shall look for some poetic devices such as alliteration, but don't overdo this. It's not another "Brenda" contest. Remember that one?
Don't give Polly a surname.
My examplar is dated 7/21/2017.
